Todd Stenhouse, CEO
An accomplished strategist, communicator and media relations specialist, Todd Stenhouse has been leading campaigns for candidates, organizations, and private companies for the past twenty years.
A relentless advocate for fair labor standards, Stenhouse has helped lead efforts to protect prevailing wage laws across the country, combat wage theft, and promote infrastructure investment. He directed communications for the University of California's largest employee union, developing a dynamic, multi-platform program that helped produce historic new contracts, dramatic membership growth and numerous legislative victories.
Stenhouse has also led a variety of issue based media and public relations campaigns for regional and national organizations working in the fields of human services, civil rights, consumer safety, renewable energy and biotechnology. In doing so, he has helped shape both public opinion and public policy on everything from the fight for LGBT equality to the expansion of readjustment services for returning military veterans.
As a Campaign Manager, Strategist, and General Consultant, Stenhouse has advised many candidates for local, state and federal office, as well as state and local ballot measure campaigns. In doing so, he has earned a reputation for disciplined, cost-effective, insurgent campaigns that transform communities and win elections.
Prior to launching Stenhouse Strategies, Todd served as the Director of Grassroots Lobbying for a Sacramento-based national consulting firm - building, managing and mobilizing statewide coalitions comprised of trade groups, businesses and elected leaders on a range of state and federal policy issues.
Before moving to California, Stenhouse led resource development and human service delivery campaigns for the United Way of Central New York, Leadership Greater Syracuse and the Greater Syracuse Area Salvation Army.
Todd earned his B.A. in Political Science with Honors from Allegheny College in Meadville, PA, with Graduate coursework at the New School for Social Research in New York. He's originally from Skaneateles, New York and resides with his wife Sandy and two children in Loomis, California.
